I wanted to tell everyone who missed this event, you missed out big time. Jim and John did a great job, as well as they had a great group of new guys(with real talent) to go with the other players already involved. keep checking for all the stats to be posted, and the ranking to be modified thanks again John and Jim al

Jesse from New Paltz New York here. Great tournament, lots of fun. Can't thank you guys enough. Never thought I'd be in the same room with 40 (approx) other nuts like us. Guess I's better get out of New Paltz more. Great meeting everybody and will keep in touch. If anybody gets out this way, look me up. We'll get some games going. I'll get the other guys out too, plus a couple who didn't come with us.
Al, I'm going to go after that machine soon, so I may have to call for parts or fix advice.
Sully, I'll get Tom to send you some goat cheese...funny, we were halfway up the turnpike at a rest area, and we saw Ken and his uncle, so Tom yells out, I have goat cheese over here....what a riot...
John, I'll be in the city at some point soon hopefully, I'll give you a call.

Excellent work at the NJBHCs Jim and John. The Guys from Utah loved it and can't wait till next year. And for the rest of you guys, it was great putting a face with the names. There's nothing better than playing the best around and developing friendships. See you guys some time in the future.
OH YEA, just a little early trash talk---> Next year I'll be ready for you Scott Storck/Al Jennings! Prediction-- The Utah guys gets in the top 5 ranking next year!! (Now let's see if I can back that up--I'd better get practicing!) BUBBLE ON, Buds. Tony H.

I wish Ken and I (Bubble Agents from Delaware) could have stayed around for the second half of the day. We had a great time and our trophies look great on the office supply counter at work. Thanks again for all the hard work in organizing and for a great day. Hope to see everyone again soon.

Thank you very much everybody for all the great comments. I know we had some unexpected glitches throughout the day, and everyone was very understanding and accomodating. Thanks again. I know Jim and I had a great time and we're glad everyone else did too. The level of play was tremendous all the way around. And everyone was a pleasure to work with and hang out with. I think we'll probably do it as an annual event; Whistler's was very happy with the turnout and how we all conducted ourselves (though they did say to tell Scott to keep his shoes on - 10 hours of looking at those gangly big-ass feet gave several people permanent eye trauma. Just kidding big guy - if it helped my game match up to yours my shoes would be off too).
PS - for those of you near enough to southern NJ for day trips I may consider having smaller tournaments at my house on a more regular basis, while we've got interest peaked in bubble hockey. I've got a big basement with about the same square footage as the Whistler's room and 4 tables there. I'm thinking about 1x a month or maybe once very 2 months having invitational tournaments, 16-24 players, singles only, with bracket and double elim just like the NJBHC. Getting done in about 3-4 hours. So if we started at like 2pm we'd be done by 6pm, or maybe noon to 4pm. I'm thinking maybe $10-$20 a man and giving out prize money for 1st place, 2nd place, 3rd place, 4th place, and 5th place. I know we'd get diferent guys each time (1x a month is alot to ask of people), which would be great - we'd get different levels of talent each time and different winners each time (so the boys from Mass wouldn't sweep the awards - those bastards!). Any interest out there? I'm thinking maybe a Saturday in November for the first one.
PS - has anyone seen Monkey Jr. since he won the Stiga, or has he been playing it nonstop since Saturday night?

That sounds like a good idea. It would definitely be fun to get together more often. I'm sure kieran and I, along with maybe john powers might make it out there once a month to play some games. let us know

That does sound good. I would try to make a couple of them...maybe a couple of the guys from New Paltz would come as well, including that guy Jie, who didn't make it.

I'd definitely be up for it once in awhile. Turned out to be about an hour drive for me, so an afternoon would be great!
