Am I supposed to be impressed that you won an 11 person "tournament" held in someone's basement-what a joke!!! Did you play against 10 of the neighborhood elementary school children? What about BlowJo, was he there? I have been BANNED from playing in South Jersey basement "tournaments" because they FEAR me!! I also refuse to play against children-You obviously have no idea who the **** I am. Why don't you Google: Bad Boy of Bubble Hockey. LMFAO...you have GOT to be kidding me with that video, do you suck your own c0cl< at night before you go to sleep? First off, there was about 20 seconds of bubble hockey footage, the rest was of you clinging onto pro athletes like a lost fawn. Secondly, the only goals you scored were complete garbage, perhaps you have never met any real skilled competitors, its a shame you're stuck on the east coast or else me and my teammate would love to show you how a real goal is scored. And the song on that video, are you kidding me? My ears are still bleeding from that awful karaoke attempt, I'm assuming that was you singing also? That was THE worst video I have ever witnessed...seriously.

You are banned from "basement" tournaments because you're an @ss - no one in their right mind would let you into their home (for some history on the "bad boy of bubble" and why you do NOT want him in your home, see prior postings on other threads - some are quite comical). I actually thought that video of you was a joke someone played on you, especially with the cheesy childhood photos from the '80's - that is supposed to be serious?!? That's a goof by one of your high school arch enemies, right? Did you do that?!? Oh my god - you are more delusional that even I thought! And I think you're pretty delusional...oh good lord...
Since you are supposedly "banned" from tournaments, why don't you run your own?!? At least according to the "video montage" you seem to have all sorts of connections in the "real" world - surely you could arrange a big bubble hockey tournament in your hometown and you could invite all the rest of the bubble world to your domain so that you could dominate them and humiliate them (or you could play the youtube video and they would die from laughter - seriously, that is a joke, right? Isn't it? Please tell me it is...please...oh good gravy...)
How 'bout it, Steele - "thefuture" has issued the challenge, maybe it is time to run your own show (John Salley could drop the ceremonial first puck!    ) and then the rest of us can see how it's done outside the "basements" of the world. So what's the date for the Marc Steele "Men of Steele" Challenge tourney - if you run it, they will come...

Hey there, this is Tony from Utah, haven't been on this site for a few months but when I saw all this messaging surrounding Mark steel, I had to read. Also, I did watch that video piece about Mark. Interesting! I will have to say though Mark, you have a nice family & I actually think I had a dance club shirt like that black one you had on, back in the 80s. Yea I was into those crazy dances as well. Anyway, since it looks like Mark will get beat up by all these comments I just wanted to say that over the years I've run into Mark at various tournaments and through bubble boys & I think he is a decent player and a good guy as well. Now, why he insists on inflaming folks by saying some of the things he says, I'll never know. But all jokes aside, if any of you get to play him in the future, he definitely is a pretty good bubbler.
And for you Mark, hey what's up. I don't play much anymore but maybe someday I'll run into you at some tournament down the road. And Mark, will you leave JG and those Jersey guys alone about their Basement tournaments. They run a quality tournament and they're good guys. Plus, until more people get involved, where else would they hold those tournaments. It doesn't make sense to spend $ on space for tournaments.

Hey Tony-
Nice to see your post. You, like many of the people that I have met from the bubble, are a good person who enjoys some of the same things that I do...but most of all the bubble. That being said, I have to disagree with you whole heartedly about Mark Steele being a good guy.
After watching his behavior in St. Louis, I am convinced that the reason they did not have a third event is directly linked to Mark's actions. The people who are nice enough to run an event do not want to deal with a-holes. We are having a tough enough time trying to promote this game, there is no place for jack asses that turn people off.
He is so desperately trying to live up to his self billing of this bad boy of bubble hockey, he can not distinguish the difference between a bad boy and complete tool. He shows that he does not get it, by attacking John G and Woj. These are the few guys that bring something to build the growth of the bubble. Mark does nothing for the game, he just brings it down.
In the past I tried to look past this and tried to convince people that he did belong, but I now see the errors in my ways. We will never get this game to grow if this tool is involved.
I found it funny that John told him to run an event. Anyone in his area that could help him run one already knows he is a jerk and would never work with him.
He is, and will always be, Mark "the Tool" Steele.
Sorry to be such a downer, but I call it like I see it.

Hey there Al, good to hear from you as well. Oh well, I guess I don't know what happened in St.Louis the second year. I actually wasn't able to make that tournament but is sounds like whatever Mark did, it was over the top. Well, that's too bad. I agree with you that this is a fun competitive thing to do, and we all have to be supportive of each other, and how others perceive bubble hockey. Well, I guess I stand corrected. Still don't know what he did, but thank you for bringing me up to speed.

I was in St. Louis that year. From what I saw, the main thing he was doing was being so loud, obnoxious, confrontational, and using such foul language that the Blues guys finally gave him a choice - keep quiet and just play, or be forced to wear duct tape over his mouth because there were women and little kids watching the finals and the Blues guys were not happy with his antics at their event. Guess what - he couldn't control himself and had to wear the duct tape over his mouth! Honest. It was maybe one of the most juvenile things I've seen a grown man do in a long time, and he wore it like a badge of honor. Shamefull. I'm not surprised if he is the reason they didn't want to do it again. I'm disappointed, but not surprised. And I too have had civil moments with Marc outside of playing bubble, and sometimes he is a decent guy. But those other times...yikes...
