Week #2 is in the books for the 2014 Winter-Spring PJBHL season:

Players still earn 2 points for every win, and 1 point for every O/T loss.
Additionally, they earn "Fantasy" points every night, and then we combine the W/L points and the "Fantasy" points for an overall score each night.
Players must have both an Offense and a Defense each league night
Offense:
Points are earned per ranking position at the end of the night:
Example – 8 players in the field, the highest scoring offense is worth 8 points, the next highest is worth 7 points, next highest is 6 points, etc, on down to 1 point for the lowest scoring offense.
***Ties are each awarded the higher point value
Additional points are earned each time an offense exceeds 6 goals (i.e. – 7 goals or more):
1 time = 1 point
2nd time = 2 additional points (3 total for 2 times scoring over 6 goals in a game)
3rd time = 3 additional points (6 total for 3 times scoring over 6 goals in a game)
4th time = 4 additional points (10 total for 4 times scoring over 6 goals in a game), etc.
Defense:
Points are earned per ranking position at the end of the night:
Example – 8 players in the field, the lowest goals allowed defense is worth 8 points, the next lowest is worth 7 points, next lowest is 6 points, etc, on down to 1 point for the most goals allowed defense.
***Ties are each awarded the higher point value
Additional points are earned each time a defense pitches a shutout:
1 time = 1 point
2nd time = 2 additional points (3 total for 2 shutouts)
3rd time = 3 additional points (6 total for 3 shutouts)
4th time = 4 additional points (10 total for 4 shutouts), etc.
Draft order:
1st league night of the season is by blind draw.
Each successive night will be inverse order of Fantasy Points scored the week prior – i.e. – the lowest scoring player from the previous week gets first choice, 2nd lowest 2nd choice, etc. Players who missed a prior week are assigned a draft order via blind draw at the beginning of the night, but will draft behind players who were present the week prior.
***Players must always choice one of the own Offense or Defense if able, and then select another player’s Offense or Defense – a player may not choose both his own Offense and own Defense. If a player does not have an Offense or Defense left when it is his selection, he may choose from any of the remaining choices.
This has really spiced things up a bit in the league, and has already affected the standings. Check back here at Chexxfan for updates, or go to
