Hi Peter. I had the same issue with a used game I purchased over a month ago. Unfortunately you cannot get the yellow out of the ice surface. I tried so many different products and the stronger ones only will remove the painted lines etc. Best thing to do is just go buy a new ice surface from ICE. They have different team logos you can get as well if you want. It will look awesome with a new surface. I think they are around $150.

new ice looks awesome...Here's what I am going to try before purchasing a new one. The yellowing comes from bromine rising to the surface in the plastic surface...Bromine is a fire retardant made in the material for obvious reasons...The goal is to drive it back done.. This can be done by applying hydrogen peroxide cream 12% that women use for hair dyeing process under a UV light....The UV light can be sunlight as well. Smear the cream on the ice surface...put some saran wrap over it to prevent it from drying out and put it in the sun for 6hrs...Many have done this to old video game consoles on you tube with great results...The lines may fade too but maybe a permanent marker might work...Worst case scenerio is I buy a new surface...Will post back when done

so far the results are unbelievable...yesterday I started the process with a 40% improvement overall after 6hrs outside...After 6 hrs I hosed peroxide cream off took it inside and wiped it down with cleaning wipes . Today I reapplied the cream and as i type this, the ice surface has been out in the sun for the last 6hrs..I think its about 80% better...Unbelievable...I am going to post pictures of the progress each day as soon as I complete the process...stay tuned P.S. the blue and red lines have been unaffected..

So here was the beginning stage...Notice how yellow the surface was...I taped the lines etc first but noticed the cream had no effect on what wasn't covered so i took the painters tape off for subsequent applications

The end result came out pretty good although you can still see a little yellowing left. But you saved yourself about $115.00 plus shipping.

Another option is to use a Magic Eraser. Not quite as effective as the Perioxide Cream, but did take about 50% of the yellow dis-color out of my board. I had to be careful not to scrub over any of the lines.
Thanks for the info Peter, nice Tip!

My ice is really yellow so I tried a test run with a small part of the ice with the peroxide cream, covering it in stretch wrap and then let it sit in the sun for about five hours. Amazing results so far, and that was with one thin coat.
