ive got a super chexx home unit, no coin door. used to work fine. now when it boots up, the score board says FP ( free play) . pushing the start button and stating a game immediately adds a goal. push it again, another goal. every press adds a goal. the other start button does nothing. also, the puck doesnt eject. the part that sucks, you cant access the board without removing the top, so a bit tough to troubleshoot. the wiring has not been touched since the game was put together new. anyone ever seen a game do this ? sound like a board problem ? anyway to clear and start over? do i need to get a board to try? also, what is the on -off toggle switch on the board for. thanks Edit/Delete Message

there is an ebay listing for U8 and U9 chips. says they often go bad and account for no puck eject and other problems. i dont have the game in front of me, but i did take a pic and cant find u8 or 9. are they under the daughter board? if they are, its the daughter board soldered or inserted?
thanks

I believe that listing of U8 and U9 chips is for the original coin-op Chexx machine which debuted in 1983, not the Super Chexx version.
