Santa brought us a new NHL SuperChexx game for Christmas this year. Sure, the kids are enjoying it, but I would be lying if I didn't say that I have wanted one of these for a very long time. Finally the time, and opportunity was right so we pulled the trigger. We live 15 minutes from the ICE facility where it is made so I got it super quick. I opted for the black split base, with Sabres in home whites and Bruins in the dark colored jerseys (yeah, I know it's not reality, but this is my dream). The new jumbotron screen is really quite awesome. Also, being a STH for the Sabres, I really dig the anthems by Doug Allen and the calls from RJ. I'm already looking at tricking it out a bit. The motherboard has a microSD card. I removed it, plugged it in my iMac and it contains 139 wav files. These are the anthems, RJ comments, crowd noise and goal horns for all the teams. I figured out the Sabres goal song was 108.wav. I created a new 'goal horn' for the Sabres (it plays when the home team scores). I spliced the Sabres goal song (DJ Kool "Let me clear my throat") into a 5 sec clip instead of the horn and saved it back to the MicroSD card. Now when the Sabres score, DJ Kool comes on! Next on the list is customizing the boards. Would also like to connect a rotating red goal light as well, but uncertain about doing that. Anyway, I'm glad I found this forum and I am enjoying reading everyone's experiences! Enjoy!
