All This is a heads to remind anyone who plans on attending the St. Louis Bubble Hockey Nationals, YOU NEED TO REGISTER BY FRIDAY MARCH 2, 2007. You will NOT be able to show up on Friday March 9 and register at the tournament. You can find the registration details at www.playbubblehockey.org/modules.php?name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=8Remember that you can fax your registration form to the Blues or e-mail it to them as well and then call with your credit card info. As of now, they have only received 5 entry forms so you need to get the forms in ASAP. If you are trying to win the qualifier on Thursday evening in St. Louis, go ahead and register and worry about paying later if you dont win the tournament. For you St. Louis guys, we hope to have a good showing, but as of now, only one of your players is registered. Lets get that player list growing. You can view it at www.playbubblehockey.org/modules.php?name=League_Tournament_Input&file=playerlist&EventNameId=4See you in St. Louis Rufdawg

Howdy All I just want to give everyone an update on the St. Louis tournament. Currently there are 24 players registered including myself, Jeremy and Doug Davis, Al Jennings, Ray Klucens, Alan Anderson, Woj, and John Gaffney from out of town as well as the crew from St. Louis. I know that Tony Hernandez is very busy these days with a new job among other things so he probably wont make it to St. Louis. Adam Leach just held a great tournament out in LA, but unfortunetly, he wont be able to make it to St. Louis. As far as the other big names, I have no idea.
Anyway, I look forward to seeing you all at the Mack on Thursday night and then those of you with some bubble hockey repair skills at 9am on Friday at D & Bs. It looks like the tourney will probably start around 5:45pm on Friday, but there will much more information to come this week so keep checking back here and on the NABHA website.

Hey Guys, this Tony Hernandez & I just wanted to wish everyone competing at the the St.Louis Nationals the best of luck. With a heavy heart I have had to accept the fact that I won't be able to make the trip this time. New job, in the process of hiring staff in several states, as well as starting up my own business on the side and still trying to make time for my 5 kids has all but taken every waking moment of my life. But I look forward to the flury returning back to a normal level and I plan on making one of those tourneys back east later this year. Then, of course I'll see everyone in St.Louis in 2008. Anyway, I know the tournament will be a good one next weekend and I look forward to seeing pics and hearing how things turned out. Good luck to you all and I apologize for the fact that there won't be any representation from the Mountain region. bubble on friends!

I just wanted to check in and wish everyone who is going to St. Louis Good Luck. As hard as I have tried to get there it is just not going to happen for me this year due to Family obligations and circumstances beyond my control. I'm sure it will be a fun weekend. I look forward to seeing photo's and hearing the stories from the Tourney. Once again, Good Luck to everyone and have a great time.

Sad, sad day for JG - it's official, no Tardy to be my doubles partner/drinking buddy in St. Louis . However, my loss is potentially your gain - that means that now I am available in St. Louis! Any takers? I've got some game, as the NABHA overall standings will show, and with enough beer in me I can and have beat anyone . In doubles, I love the longstick guy/right d-man/center, but can play the goalie and short stick winger, too. Either way, drinking beers and having fun is a must (and winning games is FUN!). Anyone interested? Respond to this post, or send me a personal message from this link, or send me an email at: njbubblehockey@verizon.net. I'm going to the Mack this Thursday night for some warm-ups. Hope to see you all there. CHEERS, foocares!

Hi All, I just received more information from the St. Louis Blues about the tournament this weekend. There will be 6 pools in singles and 3 pools in doubles. The singles will be double elmination and the doubles are currently scheduled to be single elimination, but hopefully time will allow for double elimination. With 7 tables for the tournament, I'm optimistic. Below is a quick rundown of the schedule. More information is available at www.playbubblehockey.orgThursday March 8, 20077pm-?? Bubble Hockey Practice and Meet & Greet at the MACK Friday March 9, 20079am-?? Table Maintenance and Repair at D & Bs 5:45pm-9pm Singles Pool Play 9pm-11pm Doubles Pool Play 11pm-?? Singles Elimination Round Starts Saturday March 10, 200711:15am-2pm Singles & Doubles Elimination Rounds The final four in both singles and doubles will be played at the Scottrade Center on Saturday evening. I have not received any more specific details about that yet. Finally, I am still working with the Blues to decide what formula to use to seed players after pool play. They are currently using a 3pts per win formula, but I would like to see the winner get 2pts and any overtime loser get 1 pt to ensure that no one player or team runs away with the #1 seed too early in pool play. E-mail me at rufdawg@playbubblehockey.org if you have any preference either way and I will follow up with the Blues on Thursday. If anyone has any questions during the weekend, they can call me on my cell phone at 937-597-1542. My wife and I will be in town by 7:30pm CST on Thursday night.

With only 24 players registered, why are there 6 singles "pools?" That is only 4 players per pool - only 3 games will be played? Hopefully, we'll get to play other pool players outside our own. With 7 tables, each guy should get in alot of games, but that "pool" talk has me wondering. Seems like 3 pools of 8 would be better, so each guy gets in at least 7 games before seeding. I'm sure Justin has it under control and it will all work out, but 6 pools seems odd for so few players. 2 hrs to my flight! I hope the Mack has good beer - sorry St. Louis, but no Bud for me (or Coors, or Miller, etc.).

Hi All, Just for clarification, each player will play 4 best of 3 series during pool play for a minimum of 8 pool games and a max of 12 games. This information is straight from Josh Hardin of the St. Louis Blues so everyone can rest easy tonight knowing that they will be playing tons singles bubble hockey this weekend.
I'm on my way to the Mack... Rufdawg
