I thought I seen something on the forum that some people were using a wood like decal for the sticks and a special coating for the skates. I cannot seem to find it or maybe it was removed. Does anybody know where to buy the stick paper/decal and what coating is used on the skates?

You can use tough toe, which is a special coating I put on the toe of my skates to protect them from skate blades and sticks. Be careful because it thickens very quickly. It will not chip and stands up well to the abuse within the game. Wood grain paper is what is used to cover the stick to make them look more authentic, then they are coated with a clear protective coat.

Thank you. I ended up just painting the sticks and skates so I am sure I will have to redo them. I wonder how plasti-dip would hold up on the skates.

Tough toe is what I have on my player skates, and that stuff just won't chip. It's only about 5 bucks for a small can.
