So we just got a used chexx table, brought it home, played for about 5 minutes and my husband had to lift the dome to move the puck (players stick was broken). When he lifted the dome all the sound went out and we can not figure out how to get it back. Any suggestions?

If you only lost your sound, maybe you have a loose connection somewhere between the speakers and the sound board.

There is sound coming from the speakers, but now it is very distorted and the cheers just sound like static. I redid a speaker connection that was loose, but that did not fix it other than increasing the output. All connections between the speakers and main board are good. It does not seem to be the volume pot either. When the ribbon cable gets disconnected or I lift the dome high again though, the sound stops. Is there any connection between sound and the ribbon cable? I thought that only controlled the scoreboard and fan. Could a bad ribbon cable cause this problem? I have fiddled with every connection the game has, to no avail.

Did you ever figure out the source of your sound problem? I'm having similar problems, with no answers yet.
