Hi all,
I have found a person in my area selling a number of older super chexx peices. I was wondering which peices I should look at buying for my old machine. I know the gears often need replacing, but he only has old gears. But what other items would be good to purchase to have on hand that seem to fail in the older super chexx systems? My current puck eject system tends to throw the puck to one side but I think I can adjust that. He mentions that he has shot counters and many other small parts. Just wondering what I should look for to have on hand in case something breaks.
Thanks!

There isn't much that you'll need that is critical except the gears. If they're worn it's really a drag on play. The bumpers inside the rods can breakdown and dry out but those are pretty cheap when purchased new from ICE ($3) and even when they're worn and crusty like mine were you can hardly notice in play. I just replaced a puck and the only thing I can tell that is different is that it goes down the puck eject track much smoother (not something you can see when the ice surface is on.) Make sure you try to level your unit, my was throwing the puck to one side but I leveled the machine putting some bumpers under one side, now it throws the puck straight up and it drops right back down into the chute! Have fun!
