Just a quick question - bought a used super chexx. Should the sticks be grazing the ice surface, or not touching at all? And if they shouldn't be touching, would new player lock washers fix the problem? They are pretty beaten up.
Thanks

Lightly touching the surface at certain points can happen, but I try to avoid letting them scrap constantly. You can replace the washers, and you can actually just bend the sticks by hand. They are pretty pliable and can be bent up or down a bit.

I had a similar issue with my two "long stick" forwards. When the puck was against the side boards their sticks passed over the puck without touching it. I removed the players from the machine, used a plumbers torch to carefully heat the blades of each stick and gently bend them down slightly. Be careful with the heat as the stick WILL CATCH FIRE if you overheat it.
Worked out perfectly.
