I was wanting to freshen up the old Super Chexx I purchased. I was wanting to know of any good tricks or solutions that kept the base shiny. My base if fairly beat up, but I think if I could give it a light sanding on the rough spots and some how polish it, it would be much better.
Also a quick question about my dome. The dome is fairly old with some minor scratches it looks like. I have washed it and bought some novus cleaner. Can I just use dome cleaner on a buffer to polish it up, of should it be done by hand?
Thanks in advance for the advice.

There are products on the market specifically created to restore plastic on cars (bumpers, mouldings, etc). I think one is called Renew. It's a simple wipe on application. That should bring a little life back to the base. I think sanding will dull the finish further.
