Hi, I just picked up an old Chexx. The rubber grips are starting to deteriorate and leave your hands feeling sticky because of it. What is the easiest way to pull them off so I can put new ones on?

Cut the grips off, then replace them with new ones. There is a special lubricant that is used when golf club grips are replaced.

I used to work in a golf shop and we used varsol to remove and put on grips. There was a special instrument with a needle to go through the grip and then a pump to pump the varsol under the grip yo loosen it ... It did not always work and some grips were lost but that is the only way I know of.
