I maintain our game at the office, but before I did someone jammed a puck somehow between the net and the goal so someone removed both nets from the goals.
I have no idea what a game with nets is supposed to look like - the angle - how much of the base of the inside of the goal they cover etc. I've ordered two new nets, but dunno how to attach them to get the original/correct coverage of the goal.
We have MASSIVE bounce out of the net problems... so much we've called it getting "Brennered" - they name of the guy who jammed the first puck.
So - can you tell me how your nets hang in your goal? Both "factory new" and "how I like to adjust it" answers VERY welcome.

I just replaced an ice surface and two nets with news ones ordered from ICE on an old 1983 I am working on. The nets fit into the opening on the ice surface... I haven't had to adjust them at all on my game. I am not sure if you could do too much adjustment to them as the chute at the bottom of the net must be in line with the puck ramp to return it to the solenoid.

The nets fit into the opening on the ice surface... I haven't had to adjust them at all on my game. I'm referring to the clear piece of plastic, sort of a flap that is glued to the top of the goal. It's a sort of "stopper" that slows slap shots. Ours were ripped off. Would like a picture of how they are attached on a new goal. M@

Sorry I didn't understand. I just checked the new nets I installed and one net curtain is straight down the other seems to be folded in about 30 degrees.. haha. I've not played more than a few games on mine as I am still in the process of restoring it... When I get some time on it I will let you know.
I don't recall how they were when I unboxed them, I may have folded the one in when I was installing them...
When we did play the other night we didn't have any trouble with either net though.
Cheers,
D

Replaced the nets in our game today - and it's a HUGE difference. Slap shots now usually stay down. It wasn't too hard either - someone had a vial of "Gorilla Super Glue" and it was near perfect. It is a little thicker than standard crazy glue. Ours are currently bent so they point back maybe 30 deg from vertical. My fingers are currently covered with the glue though. Small price to pay for slap shots
