I was wondering if there is a schedule posting of where this years tourneys are. I'm a Vermonter (no AHL team) but can travel to Manchester or Hartford CT as I have a brother down there. Anyway I found Albany postings for this years tourneys but none of the Hartford or Manchester listings. Also, I read that you can only register in one area and it should be your 'home' area although VT doesn't have a team the rules specifically allow VTers. Anyone know if I'm supposed to register in a particular area? We had a USA vs USSR in our college lounge (free). There was only one or two people in the school that could give me a game even when they had the advantageous side (puck popped to Russians more often), I also didn't care if they popcorned (recently read the term, for shaking the ice via goalie) I'd simply hold the puck back at the blue line and fire a slapshot instead of a push/flick up close. In any case I'm just reading about these tourneys and would love to test my (old) skills against some real competition.

Here is the rules as posted to the AHL website. It includes teams/locations participating in this years event. I have heard but not seen anything official, any previously qualified player from each team past tournaments will not be eligible for this years event. That would mean some of the top players won't be there this year. Within this official rules link I found the following: "6) Tournament Finals. a) Each winner of a Team Finals (“Team Winner”) will advance to compete in the Tournament Finals at a location and date to be determined.. Note that team winners from the 2014 event will not be able to participate during the 2015 Labatt Blue AHL Bubble Hockey Tournament of Champions. Those individuals may compete at the Qualifying Round level and team finals but should they win a team final the runner up will advance to the 2015 Tournament of Champions. Previous winners can compete all the way up to the team finals but if they win the team finals the runner up, in other words, their opponent will advance to the Tournament of Champions.
