I recently picked up an '83 Chexx in pretty good shape. One issue is that none of the ICE period lights come on. The fan, light and score are fine. I popped out one side and it looks like the bulbs are just shot. Can I just solder in one (or 2?) of these (http://m.lightinthebox.com/g4-3w-240-270lm-3000-3500k-warm-white-light-resin-led-corn-bulb-12v_p1448877.html?currency=USD&litb_from=paid_adwords_shopping&utm_source=google_shopping&utm_medium=cpc&adword_mt=&adword_ct=84524291954&adword_kw=&adword_pos=1o7&adword_pl=&adword_net=g&adword_tar=&adw_src_id=1810908567_303062474_21765992714_aud-76256362690:pla-205114354154&gclid=COWz19XXks4CFYVbhgodPywL-w) per letter? Just want to make sure the LEDs are the right replacement as I'm not sure if they need AC or DC.
Also, one side of the scoring isn't working. I believe it's a bad micro reed switch. When I order a replacement from ICE is it easiest/best to just cut out the old switch and splice the wires or should I run the words all the way to the connector on the "oh" board?
Lastly, my ribbon cable for the scoreboard no longer sticks to the dome. It looks like a previous owner just used double sided foam tape and it has since lost its tackiness. How do you guys/how did the original game connect the ribbon to the dome?
Thanks!!!
