Hi everyone, I bought a Super Chexx off a guy a few years ago. He said he pulled it out of a stream after a flood, drilled the locks open and got a few hundred dollars in quarters out of it. I stashed it in my parents garage, and never even plugged it in. My parents are renovating the garage and they said I had to get it out of there.
So I brought it home and plugged it in, and it works. Sounds work, puck return works, its fully playable, except the scoreboard doesn't display any information. When I first plug it in, I get 8s lit up, but then they go out, and it never displays anything else. Any suggestions for where to start trying to fix it?
The long stick guys' gears are fairly stripped out. I assume I can find information on replacing those, but if anyone knows of a recommended guide, or general repair/maintenance guide, I would be glad to hear about it.
Also, I can't get it through my door. I see that they are available with a "split base" How would I know if I had one? It looks like the playing surface would come off the base, but it seems like the electronics are in the base. Can you take the base off?
Thanks for your help!

Hi there should be 4 large screws that hold the base and top together. Once you take these screws out you can remove the bubble and playing surface from the base. You should be able yo see the jokes for the 4 screws from underneath the playing surface. Not sure about the score board , mine is not really working now as well.
