Is anyone good at video, making movies, etc? If so video some of the top moves of bubble and down load to YOUTUBE. If others can see the moves and then practice them. Maybe we could get more players! More player base, more tournaments, maybe get a national sponser again. Any thoughts?

Yes Mark. places like youtube.com and myspace.com and free advetizing sites and are good tools to advertize. Go to youtube and type in table hockey. There are some videos that have been up for awhile now. There is one video that i would like you guys to watch please. You will see a phenom player that is well know in the Stiga circut. Its 14 yr old Roni Nuttunen of Finland turning what at first glance looks like a toy into a fine World Class insterment! There are other ways to use quality video to promote the Chexx hockey Sport. Some orginizers have good table hockey video on their table hockey or assocations website to help gain exposure for their sport. A few table hockey orginizers in North America and Europe have now produced hi quality DVD's cheaply affordable ans easily acessable. Here is one hi quality example of a excellent production used to sell our sport ~ www.lahto.com/challenge/multimedia/DVD-nextplay_e.html We need to produce Chexx DVD featuring our star players! All free advertizing sites should be taken full advantage of to promote Chexx. any tpye of Hockey websites, arcade game websites, and video websites. Thay are free but it takes some time to sit and advertize. If leaders in each region could sit down, do a search and orginize a good list of sites of intrest in his region for himself to advertize on. Then relese some advrtizing ink on these sites linking them to our tournaments assocation and leagues we could gain some new players nationaly for sure. These free sites should be taken full advantage of. In December i am running a ad for my Vegas event in the Hockey News Marketplace. I expect that will get me some decent play but it costs money. Here is the problem ALL those videos online are for STIGA the little tabel toy version of Chexx. Why that table is more a sport and nationally regonized than a Super Chexx table I have NO idea.. Super Chexx looks, feels and performs at a much more professional level! Problem is there are GREAT players of Super Chexx but who is willing to get a simple digital camera and take the time to put one line. 7 or so simple 2 min videos together? I suck or I would. Will one of you top dogs leave a legacy behind for new people like us? Here are atleast 7 videos I would like to see each being a total of about 2-5 mins each. WILL YOU GUYS DO IT?? What about Woj? he is propably the most known for this game. in the past more people seen him and wrote articles about him then anyone else. Tardy23 seems to handle most of the techincal questions about this game. Maybe he can do video #7 (General Maint) Here are the 7 videos: 1. Welcome to bubble hockey (history of the game, where to play etc.) 2. The rules of play 3. Basic shots and plays. 4. Basic strategies and techniques 5. Advanced shots and plays 6. Advanced strategies and techniques 7. General Maintence tips on your game.

Hi Kevinr: You are right it should be done. I know a a year or so ago Al gave Kenny a old bubble (dome only).Kenny was going to cut a huge hole in the top for a overhead camera. I don't know if he ever followed threw with it. I will check his progress. It sounded like a great idea. I would be willing to help this project and I am sure many others will help also. So I guess I will repeat your question Who will step up to the plate and get it started?

Kenny has good experiance in this. He did some Stiga footage on the LATO site i listed as well as nerumeros other videos. We need top players to help sell this game or we are very restricted.

It will take some dedication from 2 people working together. A top player and a good camera man. The third person standing on the other end of the table will be easy LOL!

Hey, I agree it would be cool to have some video done. The basic techniques, strategies and shots are all subjective. You can ask three different players what method they use and you might get three different answers. I'm not expert at the game but I'd be willing to give it a shot. As for uploading the video, that is a another story. About game maintenance, once again I am no expert. Much of what I know how to do on these games I figured out on my own but I have also called Sully and Al form time to time for advice. If you have a little bit of mechanical know how you can do most of the repairs on these games but they can be intimidating at first. Most of the maintenance tips can be found here on the website and here : www.marvin3m.com/arcade/chexx.htm This guy does a great job at explaining the game and some general repairs as well as a game history. If you were to put a video together for that it could likely be longer than 5 minutes. Anyway, I'd be willing to chip in on this with some knowledge if necessary. [glow=blue,2,300] CHEERS ![/glow]

Well Yes I totally agree everyone might have diffrent opinions on techniques but thats where more videos can come in down the line...
The basic 7 videos would be the start.
Here are the 7 videos: 1. Welcome to bubble hockey (history of the game, where to play etc.) 2. The rules of play 3. Basic shots and plays. 4. Basic strategies and techniques 5. Advanced shots and plays 6. Advanced strategies and techniques 7. General Maintence tips on your game.

Tony H
Nice work on the stuff on youtube. Man the intro was sweeeeet!
We need more stuff like this to promote the sport! Like a Bubble commercial! More, more, more!
Oh, also check out the Bud light commercials. "Let's see that shot tin man".

Yeah, nice job. The biggest problems with filming Chexx is that the table is a larger area to cover than Stiga and the dome creates a glare. Most of what I've seen captures one side or player passing or shooting but before the camera can move the puck is in the net or off the boards to another part of the table. It can be hard to follow. There is a person on Youtube with some decent video using a "Gamecraft" table but it looks to be a cheap Chexx knock off, $99.00 for the whole thing. Not bad stuff although some of the concepts may not work on Chexx because the corners and table dimensions are different. BTW, the link to the BB Commercials is: www.youtube.com/results?search_query=bud+light+bubble+boysThose are absolute classics! [glow=blue,2,300] CHEERS![/glow]

Thanks for the positive comments about the YouTube videos. Actually, the one was just old footage with someone operating the camera who knew very little about what to follow (ie. puck, men moving into position to shoot & its shot etc.). The second one was something that my son and I played with real quick to the Rocky theme. But it was fun and we'll probably put things up there from time to time. Thanks
