Hi All
In my haste to comment on Marc's post last Thursday I failed to address a topic that I wanted to discuss here since everyone reads these posts.
I wanted to mention what a great experience I had actually sitting down and talking with guys like Al, Woj, Jeremy and Doug D, Alan, JG, Josh, Alex, Jim B, Craig C, and some of you other guys from the St. Louis area. I normally don't fair well at these tournaments with my bubble hockey play, but I do meet some good people that I look forward to knowing for a long time (and perhaps traveling to visit on non bubble hockey weekends). This is the part that makes bubble hockey tournaments worth attending to me and spending 100s of hours on the website worth it. I would much rather make a friend at a tournament than win it, and I think that is the key to making this sport grow.
One of our newbies, Alan from CA, even shared with me how impressed he was that people would explain some of their different strategies to him even if they had to play against him.
;DI do love the random trash talk between Jord76 and the rest of the bubble hockey world because it stirs the pot to keeps things exciting and it sounds like he is an upstanding guy (Woj vouched for him). I guess we'll find out for sure at KONE, but now we all look forward to playing against him and seeing what type of person he is. ;D
If any of you want to share any good experiences you had at the 2007 St. Louis Blues Bubble Hockey Nationals...I encourage you to post them on here so everyone can see what type of people they can expect at tournaments.
Thanks
Justin Rufa
PS: The master's degree is finished so now I can put some more time into the website!!!!
