Hi - I just bought a used Super Chexx and am replacing some of the worn parts. All of the player lock washers were missing, so I ordered a set from Icegames. I can't figure out 2 things. First, where do they go? Do they go inside the track directly on top of the gear box, or on top of the track (between the track and the ice surface). I'm assuming inside the track but looking for guidance, especially since doing it that way will require me to remove all of the gearboxes from their tracks. Second - the age old question - how to fit a square peg in a round hole. The square pegs on the bottom of the players seem to be a poor fit for the round hole in the player lock. Do you force them in despite the poor fit? How do you then get the player out without damaging anything? Am I missing something here? Thanks in advance for the info

I checked the manual and it shows that the washer goes over the gear and under the track. As for a square in a round hole I'm not to sure. I'm guessing you're going to have to use a little force to get the player in place. After player is in place is says to pull up gently to test the strength of the washer.

Thanks Ruf - the manual that I downloaded had a picture that wasn't clear, so I appreciate your taking a look. Thanks for the info!

Ruf is correct, the washer does go between the gear box and the slider. You shouldn't have to remove the gear boxes to get the washers in place though. Just slide the gear box to the end of the slider channel and slide the washer in between the gear box and the slider.
Once you have all of the washers lined up, put your ice surface back on, then push the players down into the new washers. This will require a good amount of force as you guessed. The round washer ensures a snug fit between the player and the washer. Be careful to only apply downward force when you're pushing your player into the washer as the square player "peg" is not the sturdiest thing in the world and can bend or crack.
FYI, the player peg does have metal within it, but they still can be broken.
