I just got my new SuperChexx home edition and have a few questions:
1) Once the game ends, many times it automatically starts a new one. How do I stop this from happening?
2) One a game ends and a new one doesn't start automatically, the only way I can shut off the machine is to unplug it. Is there a better way to turn it off (especially so the light and scoreboard goes off)?
3) The Center on USSR team's stick is slightly higher than the puck, so he whiffs every time he tries to shoot. How do I fix this?
Thx!

1. It's a bug that ICE is aware of and they dont have a solution.
2. I believe there's a switch on the main pcb. I normally just unplug it though. Since you have the home version, you don't have an access door right? I think your only solution is to unplug it.
3. Try pressing down on him and see if he sticks in farther.

to follow up on Harris thread here,
i also had that same issue of the game restarting by itself after each game ended. And after a while, by investigating and testing, i found out that whenever you turn on your super chexx, (and mine is a 2005 with a 4th generation board) you hear a startup song, which we can refer to the bootup song. And when youre machine is on free play, and you press the BOO BUTTON during that boot up song, just after turning on the unit, you will notice the game won't start rightaway. It will instead record all the presses you made. And will start each game automatically one after the other until its done.
So for example if you press the BOO button 3 times during the boot up song, the machine will record 3 starts and keep them in memory. its like putting 3 quarters in the machine. Than once the boot up song is over the first game will start, once its over it will restart again by itself, and again one last time. once the third game is over it will stop restarting by itself.
Of course if you let the bootup song play completely after turning on the unit, without pressing the BOO button. It should be fine. and if you press the boo button 3 times after the boot up song is done, you will notice that it wont record any game in memory. And of course it wont restart automatically either.
just thought i share that because i also thought that my machine was having an issue but it did not
thanks.
