Monkey and Handler are in! We're hoping to find out how you Pittsburgh guys were able to get sponsorship for the tourney and prizes too - we're still working on that for the NJBHC.

I want to inform everyone that there is limited space for the tournament. I'm only accepting 18 double teams and 28 single players for the tournament. If your planning on coming a great distance, then you should preregister by email at superchexxhockey@yahoo.com If anyone has any questions about the tournament, please contact me at the above email address or check out www.pittsburghbubbleboys.us for additional info. There is no tournament registration fee. All prizes are to be donated by beer representatives. Lee Grafton

Jesse of Team Tofu here. A couple of us from New Paltz NY may be attending, just have to get confirmation on whose going, then I'll try to get everyone to pre-register. FYI we have a small (but hopefully growing)league here in New Paltz NY, if anybody's close enough, or swinging through town for the day. We hold league on Thursday nights.

The NJ boys didn't win. We fought hard and drank mightily, but in the end Jeremy and Kieran were too good in doubles and Jeremy was too good in singles. Yours truly managed 3rd place in singles - d**n that Tim the Enchanter from Pittsburgh (2nd place) and his flatstick pass off the iceberg! He was neither fair nor just!!! (Does anyone remember Tim the Enchanter from Monty Python and the Holy Grail? Monkey and I kept calling him Tim the Enchanter and everyone looked at us like were were nuts, which of course we are!) Hats off to Lee for running a great tournament! I know he's going to give me all the credit for helping him out, but he really did a tremendous job - he had a great place in the Wick City Saloon, had good prizes like T-Shirts and trophies, and got the bar to have $1 drafts all during the tournament. He didn't get quite all the players/teams he wanted, but he rolled with the punches and pulled it all together nicely. And he got tremendously drunk to boot. Great job, Lee - thanks again! We'll see you in NJ in September.
