Pretty sure an overtime loss to John (followed by one of those games where everything goes in no matter what) isn't an embarrassment..especially after taking one of the longest series quite possibly ever in the playoffs against ken is far from embarrassing....... and you knock him out of one tourney, yes one tournament (besides both having a blowout a piece) by a combined 4 goals in the 4 games..... HA.... come to CT and you won't have a winning record against either of us... i bet my dad would still beat you

I love how you dont mention anything about what I said about your brother. Its hard to argue a 7-1 record vs someone. Ct? Johns tables are better then anyones in the US, so dont get into that kind of argument. I am going to go to Conecticut. But I am only going to play Jeremy, because your not worth my time and the same with jeremy's dad. When you win any type of tourny then come back to me. IF YOU BEHAVE YOURSELF I MIGHT LET YOU WATCH ME AND JEREMY PLAY. You can watch actual winners

i did mention it. yes congrats you knocked him out of ONE tournament convincingly for the first time . then you couldn't even win it.... and i never said anything bad against his tables, i'm just saying theres a different feel for you own. and you'll be thinking of a lot of excuses after you visit. last time i checked we went to game 3 with my OT shot hitting the back of your net and popping out. after i hadn't played in years. so don't get too far ahead of yourself. I'm not claiming to be the best so who cares about your 2 wins.. why did you dodge the challenge that i just gave you?

Why don't you guys go to a neutral site? Neutral tables!
Free beer, food, accommodations, swim at your leisure.
Come to Buffalo! Figure out who is the top 3. Awesome!

Would be different in CT? Do you and Jeremy play on a gold bubble hockey table? I mean give me a break.
Woj, I would come up, by jeremy and doug would probably make an excuse that bubble wasnt painted right or something....I can beat them 1000 times and it will never mean anything. 7-1 record. Thats the bottom line!!!!!! Cant argue that.

Not sure how saying come to ct is an excuse? How much more praise do you need that you beat me last tournament....nothing against that...clearly its an even matchup against us...and im just saying that i know round 2 will be different... maybe round 3 will be in buffalo...sounds good to me A little too much talk from the hothead...nothing that the Davis Invitational can't fix

Whoa, I'm coming to this party late I see! Sorry boys, but softball keeps me pretty busy this time of year, so I'm just catching up...yikes, things appear to be getting pretty heated, but I know it is all in good fun... ;D, I hope... I'm really trying to stay out of the rankings debate, because I'll be the guy who ends up counting the votes and writing it up here on chexxfan.com. And to be honest, I have a hard time considering myself for #1 despite some of the support, or even top 10 for that matter - my game under the dome is the most inconsistent of any of the "top" players, but that is because I play such a different style. Most of you "top" guys all play the same way every time, using the same couple of moves to maximize possessions and opportunities to score. I've never really done that, always to my detriment. That is, until the last 2 tourneys, where I played to win, cut down my moves to just a few, and actually did win both events, surprisingly easily. So there is, I guess, a decent argument for me to be at the top (or near the top of the rankings) right now. But I also know that I bore easily playing that way, and at any time could get goofy and try low percentage plays in big spots just to see if I could pull the moves off. You guys would never, ever, do something like that, and it has always separated me (and alot of guys) from the "top." So in my head I know that about my game, but to be fair to me, I did win the 1st (and biggest) bubble hockey tournament ever put on by ICE, and did beat the guy I consider the best bubbler out there by a 2-0 sweep (and Doug, say what you want about my sweep of Jeremy and it being first an O/T game and then "one of those games where everything goes in," but I only allowed 2 goals to him in 2 games, including a 7-0 shutout - that's impressive no matter how you explain it. I'll give my alcohol aided defense props there! ). And though Jeremy and I never got to play in the recent NJ tourney, that's because Jeremy couldn't get by Jimmy, and I beat Jimmy in the finals. I also swept Scott Storck in 2 games. I can't explain Jimmy's recent success against Jeremy - I know my overall record against Jeremy over the years isn't nearly that good. You have to give "thefuture" his props - 7-1 against anyone is pretty damnn impressive, and against Jeremy it borders on unbelieveable, on any domes. As for the rankings, I've gotten a grand total of 7 responses, so what do the "rankings" really even mean? Outside of the 2 tournaments I run every year, how many other events are even out there? New Era had one for a couple years, now that is done. The Boston boys (Al and Sully) ran the KONE for a few years but that is done. ICE just had their 1st one, but who knows where that will go?!? And because not everyone has the good fortune like I do to be able to travel to events all around the country, it is hard to judge who is who. Al Jennings has never, ever, placed poorly in any event he has ever entered, usually winning or finishing 2nd, yet he keeps dropping in the rankings due to not making it out to tournaments - is that fair? I don't know. My personal preference is to stir the pot, and get as many names in our "rankings" as possible, with lots of movement up and down to spark the very debate that has been raging here. But guys, there have only been 5 people to weigh in on this controversy - the Davis boys, Jimmy, Woj, and now me. Does the rest of the chexxfan community even care? There are more posts about table repairs and selling games than about the Top 10! I'll put out what I've got for the rankings next week, and we can go from there. I like the challange idea - it is kind of like the Ladder I use in the SJBHL. Lower "ranked" players can call out higher "ranked" players and steal their spot in head-to-head showdowns! I can't wait to hear what happens in "thefuture" vs the Davis Boys!!!
